Our Story
Founded in 2018 by Adrienne Harwell, A Joy Art Studio offers small group art lessons beginning at age 2 and up, as well as traveling art parties. Adrienne is a 13 year veteran art teacher, beginning her career teaching Art, 3d Design, Photography, and Computer Graphics at the high school level in Midlothian, VA. After marrying her college sweetheart, she relocated to Northern Virginia where she began her career in elementary school, in Arlington and Fairfax schools. These elementary settings provided experience with special needs artists as young as 2 years old. As Adrienne's family began to grow, so did her desire to have a more flexible lifestyle, where she could spend more time with her girls while still doing the teaching she loves.

Inspiring Artists of All Ages
A Joy Art Studio provides engaging, age appropriate lessons beginning at age two. Classes are held as themed 6-week sessions. Throughout each session, artists will create between 4-6 works of art, as well as learn about a variety of artists, techniques, and materials.
In addition to classes, A Joy Art Studio also offers traveling art parties. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, having ladies or couples night, or organizing a church or business social, A Joy Art Studio can bring the studio to you!
